1989 Syncro 16" TD Multivan |
|
Several folks asked about
the green Syncro in the center of the group photo featured on the Ig.
16’’ page. Thomas Niksch kindly
provided some additional information and photos. It is a 1989 syncro Multivan
TD and was previously owned by a civil engineer living in Berlin. He did a lot
of modifications on it. He has since sold the car to someone who is not a member
of the Ig 16’’ group, and we have a picture of the remodeled van newly painted
and without the sponsor stickers.
Here is the same car in its new silver incarnation.
The hot numbers here are the spare tire racks, that hinge to the side to allow
access to the rear hatch. Then we've got the folding bike racks attached to
the spare tires! These look nice - no compromising the ground clearance at all.
The cargo rack looks like it is holding a lot of jerry cans, painted white I
would presume they are holding water. It looks like there is a lot of weight
up high on this vehicle.
