North from Lima

I really can't believe how fast time has flown since we've been here. We'll be in Guayaquil in a week and struggling with shipping the vans to Panama. Incredible.

We did a little sightseeing in Lima last night. Unfortunately, we were too late for the South American Explorers Club, which closes at 5. We'll be stopping there today on our way out of town. We really hope they can recommend an agent in Guayaquil to hold our hands while we get the shipping arranged.

I don't know when we'll find internet access again. In fact, we aren't even sure where we intend to stop tonight. It's a case of letting the trip take us. Remember that advice when we were planning the trip? It's excellent advice and, the truth be told, the trip will take you whether you want it to or not! We've made no attempt to stick to our schedule. However, since we have had deadlines, like Ushuaia for Christmas and Jenn's arrival in Cusco, we've found that when the roads are good, we can really eat up the miles, though it means skipping over some things.

At any rate, our next deadline is Jenn's flight to California from Guayaquil on the 31st. We'll try to touch base when we find computers.
