Hi, Everyone.
Tyler and Shay and I are in Fortaleza, Brazil. At last, a beautiful
beach with a wonderful breeze. We're trying to catch up on the mail,
do the laundry, etc. All are well. We found a beach with a cafe and
had lunch and a swim. Tomorrow is Sunday and we will be spending it
in a tropical paradise. I will try to boot up my laptop and force all
of us to gather together a dispatch. We have been very spoiled by Ron's
dispatches - knowing that our families and friends would not be worried
about us as long as the mail kept coming.
I'll try to keep everyone posted. We will definitely be modifying the
schedule. The fast pace must and will stop. We are agreed that
every day is important and will "let the trip take us" as
many people suggested long ago. I always considered the schedule pudding
planning. Only Ron was terribly committed to it. Tyler has family
coming to Tierra del Fuego for Christmas so we will try to honor that
date.
Otherwise, all bets are off. It would be really wonderful if we could
hear from Larry Calhoun and the other travellers who left in August.
Perhaps we could run into them somewhere along the road.
More soon.
Jeanne
