The members of Caravana Pan Americana will gather from across the United States and Canada. The following shows Ron and Jeanne's route across the country. From Miami, we'll ship to Venezuela.

26 Aug	Mammoth Lakes, CA	255	The trip starts in San Francisco early this morning. After a few cups of coffee, Ron will head west towards Yosemite National Park. Crossing through the park on Highway 120 across Tioga Pass, we'll descend into the Mono valley and head south on Highway 395 to Mammoth Lakes.
27 Aug - 30 Aug	Mammoth Lakes, CA		Ron joins Syncro Safari.
31 Aug	Black Rock City, NV	243	A long day's drive north on Highway 395 north brings us to Reno, Nevada, 'the biggest little city in America'. Passing through Reno, Ron will continue north to Black Rock City on highway 447.
1 Sep - 2 Sep	Black Rock City, NV		Ron attends Burning Man 2000.
3 Sep	Reno, NV	120	Late today, Ron will leave Black Rock City and head south to Reno, where he will take a much-needed shower and give his van a much-needed washing. Jeanne Maly is expected to show join up today.
4Sep	Lake Mead, AZ	491	We'll head south to Las Vegas, taking Highway 515 southwest to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, where we'll stop for the night. We'll also jump ahead to Mountain Time today.
5 Sep	Gallup, NM	489	Driving across Arizona and entering New Mexico on highway 40, we'll soon hit Gallup, a dusty town on old Highway 66.
6 Sep	Amarillo, TX	408	A long (7 hour) days drive across New Mexico brings us to west Texas. We'll cross into Central time at the Texas border.
7 Sep	Houston, TX	566	Our longest day driving (10 hours) southeast across Texas brings us to Houston, on the Gulf of Mexico. We'll crash at Shay's place or in a nearby motel.
8 Sep	Houma, LA	354	Today we'll drive to Jeanne's home town of Houma, LA. We'll stay at the Capri Court Campground, 'Where the bayous come alive'.
9 Sep	Houma, LA		Hang around Houma, eating cajun food and dodging 'gators.
10 Sep	Marianna, FL	370	Leave Houma, driving across Louisiana, Alabama, and entering Florida. We'll cross into Eastern time today. We'll stop for the night at a campground in Marianna, adjacent to Florida Caverns State Park.
11 Sep	Miami, FL	527	A long drive down to the tip of Florida brings us to Miami. We'll find a hotel and hang out. Ron will check out the Art Deco south beach area.
12 Sep	Miami, FL		Bring the vans to the docks to be shipped. The vans must arrive today, or they miss the boat!
13 Sep	Caracas, Venezuela		The day after dropping off our vehicles is a good day to fly off to Venezuela. While waiting for our cars to arrive, we can get a feel for the local culture, polish our Spanish, and figure out where the Venezuelan Auto Club office is located.
17 Sep	Miami, FL		Vans ship out.
21 Sep	Puerto Cabello		Vans arrive in Puerto Cabello.
