The Marco Polo is a little smaller than the Volkswagen Westfalias. Based on a Mercedes van manufactured in Spain, a camper conversion called the Marco Polo is available from Westfalia and distributed through the Mercedes-Benz dealerships. The floorplan is amazingly similar to the VW-based Westies from the 1980s, though the Marco Polo is a litle smaller. Engines are 98 HP Diesel, 130 HP gasoline with a 5-speed or automatic transmissin. Unfortunately only front-wheel-drive is available, with no 4-wheel drive option. For now, customers tend to prefer the VW California models.
